Sy turned to yoga in 2003 to ward off depression while managing life changes. Since then, she has used yoga and meditation as healing tools. Sy has two 200-Hr certs, one in Hatha (2016), and the other in Kemetic yoga (2018). Her guiding principles when teaching are that yoga is for all bodies, everyone should have full understanding and access to their bodies, and most importantly, their breath.
