Moxie Referral Program Terms and Conditions

The Moxie Referral Program (the “Program”) allows eligible Members to earn credits for future Classes or Memberships (“Moxie Referral Rewards”), by referring friends to become new Members on Moxie.

To participate, Members must be of legal age where they live, have an account in good standing on Moxie and agree to these terms (“Program Terms”), which become part of their Moxie Terms of Service.

Capitalized terms that are not defined here will have the same meaning given to them in the Moxie Terms of Service.

How to Earn Moxie Referral Rewards

To begin to earn Moxie Referral Rewards, you can email an invite to others through the Moxie website/app, share your invite link through social media or otherwise share directly to others in your network.

Members can earn Moxie Referral Rewards in three ways:

  1. Qualifying Invite. A current Moxie Member (a “Referrer”) can invite someone who hasn’t yet created an Account with Moxie (a “Referred Member”) using the invitation URL or shared link. Once the Referred Member has created a valid Account with Moxie that complies with our Terms, the Referrer will be credited with $25 in Moxie Referral Rewards.
  2. Qualifying Spend. If a Referred Member who joined through a Qualifying Invite spends $25 or more (“Qualifying Spend”) on new Memberships or Drop-In Classes on Moxie, the Referrer who invited that Referred Member will be credited with $25 in Moxie Referral Rewards. Neither redeeming Moxie Referral Rewards nor amounts spent on a Member’s own Classes or Memberships accumulate towards a Qualifying Spend. Canceled Classes, Flex Pay payments or Membership renewals do not accumulate towards a Qualifying Spend.
  3. Qualifying Earn. If a Referred Member who joined through a Qualifying Invite earns $200 (a “Qualifying Earn”) as a Coach through Drop-In Classes or new Memberships on Moxie, the Referrer will be credited $100. No Moxie Referral Rewards, canceled Classes, Membership renewals, or earnings through Flex Pay accumulate towards Qualifying Earn.

Qualifying Invites, Qualifying Spends, and Qualifying Earns collectively are “Qualifying Action(s)”. A Referrer can earn multiple Moxie Referral Credit amounts for a Referred Member if the Referred Member completes more than one type of Qualifying Action.

The Referrer will be credited with the Moxie Referral Credit amount(s) specified for each Qualifying Action in the referral invitation or accompanying promotional materials within three business days after the completion of the Referred Member’s Qualifying Action. If the Referrer is a Moxie Team, the Team Owner will be the only one who can access and use the Moxie Referral Credits for the team.

To accumulate towards receiving Moxie Referral Rewards for a Qualifying Action, a Drop-In Class or new Membership must be reserved and paid for via the Moxie Platform, and, for a Qualifying Earn, the Referred Member must complete any paid Classes taught as a Coach. An action will not be considered a Qualifying Action, and therefore no Moxie Referral Rewards will be earned, for a Class that is canceled for any reason.

Members can see the status of their Moxie Referral Rewards credits and invites through the link in their profile.

Redeeming Moxie Referral Rewards

Once earned, Moxie Referral Rewards will appear in the Invite Friends section on the Referrer’s profile page.

Moxie Referral Rewards can be redeemed in the following ways:

  • The Referrer can redeem for paid Drop In Classes, or for a Membership on Moxie.
  • From time to time, Moxie may offer additional redemption options or bonuses to Referrers who are Instructors who have earned $200 or more on Moxie. These may include cash bonuses that can be used to offset future Moxie Fees, or other purposes.

Moxie Referral Rewards that are available for redemption for Drop-In Classes or Memberships will be auto-applied at checkout.

If for any reason you believe that there is a discrepancy regarding your balance of Moxie Referral Rewards, please contact us at Moxie may require you to submit additional information in order to make a determination regarding your balance. All decisions regarding your balance will be final and at Moxie’s sole discretion.

Moxie Referral Rewards expire 180 days from the date that they are placed in a Member’s Account.

We do not provide tax advice to Members. Members are solely responsible for any tax consequences, if any, that may result from their redemption or use of Moxie Referral Rewards and should consult a tax professional to understand any tax consequences from earning Moxie Referral Rewards. Where applicable, Moxie may be required to account for VAT on any services for which the Moxie Referral Rewards are redeemed.

Sharing Referral Links

Referrals are for people in your network. Links can be posted on social networks to your friends and followers but referral links should not be published or distributed on commercial websites (such as coupon websites, Reddit, or Wikipedia) or on blogs (other than personal blogs). Members are prohibited from “spamming” anyone with referral invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute your referral link. Members are prohibited from paying to advertise their referral links. A Member cannot create multiple Moxie Accounts for the purpose of sharing referral links or accumulating Moxie Referral Rewards (eg. by attending their own Classes). Only one Moxie Account per person will be eligible to receive Moxie Referral Rewards. Moxie Referral Rewards accrued in separate Moxie Accounts may not be combined into one Moxie Account. An active personal Instagram account may only be associated with one Moxie Account, and, once linked, cannot be associated with any other Moxie Account. You may not use your invitation URL or shared link in any manner that violates the law or the rights of anyone else. Moxie has the right to limit the number of times you may use or share your invitation URL or shared link, and take such other measures to ensure compliance with this clause as it deems necessary, in its sole discretion, including reporting any conduct that is not in accordance with the above to the authorities.

Multiple Referrals

A Referred Member may only use one referral link to activate their Account and may not create multiple Accounts to send or accept multiple referrals. If a Referred Member receives referral links from multiple Members, only the Referrer associated with the referral link first actually used by the Referred Member will receive any Moxie Referral Rewards.

The Program may not be combined with other Moxie referral programs or incentives.


If any provision in these Program Terms are held to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, such provision (or the part of it that is making it invalid, void or unenforceable) will be struck and not affect the validity of and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

Termination and Changes

Moxie may suspend or terminate the Program or a Member’s ability to participate in it at any time for any reason, including without limitation suspected fraud, gaming, abuse, or any violation of these Program Terms or the Moxie Terms of Service. If we do suspend or terminate the Program, we will give 14 days notice either on the website or via email.

The scope, variety, and type of services and products that you may obtain by redeeming Moxie Referral Rewards can change at any time for any reason in Moxie’s sole discretion without any remedy to the Member. This includes for the avoidance of doubt a Member’s ability to receive any additional bonuses for their Moxie Referral Rewards.

We reserve the right to review and investigate all referral activities and to suspend Accounts or modify referrals in our sole discretion as deemed fair and appropriate by us. Any violation of the Program Terms, or any activity we believe to be abusive, fraudulent or in violation of the Program Terms or the Moxie Terms of Service can not only prevent you from participating in any Moxie referral program (now or in the future) but can also result in forfeiture of Moxie Referral Rewards, money or other rewards earned through the Program (as determined by us in our sole reasonable discretion) and even result in the deactivation of your Account.

Updates to the Terms

We can update the Program Terms at any time. If we modify the Program Terms materially, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you, such as through a notice on our Platform; however you should read these terms periodically regardless to refresh your understanding. We will also update the “Last Updated” date at the top of these terms when they are updated. Continued participation in the Program after any modification shall constitute consent to such modification.
