In ancient Chinese philosophy, yin and yang describe how seemingly opposite forces are actually connected and can help bring balance. This belief also applies to the practice of yoga. This passive style of yoga focuses on stretching deeper connective tissues: ligaments, tendons, and deep fascia, as well as putting (good!) stress on the joints by holding postures for 3-5 minutes. The class will use a variety of supports to help the student relax into the posture as much as possible.
