Sometimes all it takes to chill out is a half hour of mindfulness and self-care. This yin yoga class doesn't require much time, but will touch on the entire body to lubricate connective tissues, ligaments, and joints while supporting your mind to slow and ease with guided mindfulness. We'll wrap up this gentle practice with an extended savasana and a brief guided meditation. New to yin yoga? Instead of stretching our muscles, we help our connective tissues naturally relax by holding very passive poses for 3-6 minutes each. Gravity and time do most of the work while you enjoy some time with yourself in each shape. I'll be guiding your brain to stay present (and maybe even inquisitive) throughout the practice. Anyone can do yin yoga, regardless of experience, flexibility, or strength. Practice on a yoga mat, carpet, or any comfortable floor. Blocks, pillows, or blankets are helpful, but not necessary.
