To optimize the health benefits from tai chi you should practice continually for at least 30 minutes building up to one hour. This form (done at the correct pace) takes 20 minutes to complete so it is very easy to build an hour's worth of tai chi practice around this form. In this class we will study traditional Yang style tai chi by examining the difference between Yang style and 24 movement; by practicing breathing techniques; by practicing basic and advanced postures; and by examining correct postural alignment. Some knowledge of tai chi is recommended but not required.
