This class is designed for women who want to begin a strength training program or to build onto their current training. This class will focus on basic movement patterns such as push/pull, squat, lunge, bend & lift, and rotation in addition to mobility exercises to help you gain flexibility and help you move better. Because this class is designed for all levels, please come as you are. This is a supportive class where you can learn techniques that you can carry over into your existing fitness routine or can feel comfortable beginning a strength workout for yourself at home or in the gym. We will be using bodyweight, dumbbells (5-15 lb), and medicine balls for our workouts. If you don't have a medicine ball, you can use a pilates, soccer, or basketball instead. Have a mat, towel, and sturdy chair. All movements can be adjusted, so please bring any equipment you would like to have for yourself.
