Description

The simple act of preparing a bowl of tea. Tea as ceremony. Tea as meditation. In this traditional Japanese tea ceremony, usucha, or thin tea is made by whipping hot water and powdered matcha with a bamboo whisk. In Japan, matcha has been an appreciated part of the culture for nearly 800 years, often as zen meditation. 100% of the Plum Blossom Tea Co. and Heart of Zen profits from this temae (tea presentation) will benefit Women's Resource Center of Traverse City (https://www.womensresourcecenter.org/) "Tea is for everyone," Shi Dou Ryu tea school motto.
