Description

The simple act of preparing a bowl of tea. Tea as ceremony. Tea as meditation. In this traditional Japanese tea ceremony, usucha, or thin tea is made by whipping hot water and powdered matcha with a bamboo whisk. In Japan, matcha has been an appreciated part of the culture for nearly 800 years, often as zen meditation. 100% of the Plum Blossom Tea Co. and Heart of Zen profits from this temae (Presentation) will go to Detroit Black Community Food Security Network (DBCFSN.org) "Tea is for everyone," Shi Do Ryu tea school motto.
