Where West (‘Be Strong’) meets East (‘Qi Gong’) – this class is for intermediate travelers on their journey into Lifestyle Medicine and healthy longevity. As with our beginner class, we start with breathwork, proceed through our warm-ups, then we advance into a more challenging series of Qi Gong / Tai Chi movements. Afterward, we’ll cool down together, and stick around to chat if the mood suits all. ‘Be Strong Qi Gong’ combines ancient Eastern practices with modern Western Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation – otherwise known as ‘PNF.’ This intermediate class advances from the simpler beginner movements from the previous class. Movements that fall under the PNF category of ‘Bilateral Asymmetrical' are pursued. This means all movements proceed with one side of the body doing more work than the other, then crossing over in sequence. There is more footwork in this intermediate class, with combinatorial movement beginning in preparation for our advanced series. Join us.
