Where West (‘Be Strong’) meets East (‘Qi Gong’) – this class is for beginners on their journey into Lifestyle Medicine and healthy longevity. We start each class with breathwork, proceed through synchronizing warm-ups, then we advance into a simple series of Qi Gong / Tai Chi movements. We’ll cool down, and stick around to chat if the mood suits. ‘Be Strong Qi Gong’ combines ancient Eastern practices with modern Western Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation – otherwise known as ‘PNF.’ This beginner class sticks with the simpler movements that fall under the PNF category of ‘Bilateral Symmetrical.’ This means all movements proceed with each side of the body working in unison. Footwork is limited and balance is least challenged in this beginner series. It's the best place to dip one's toe into the pool to 'test the waters'.
